Our Rabbis established that we should say אז ישיר everyday in tefila. The Mishna Berura quotes the Zohar HaKadosh who tells us we should say it as if we just experienced the great feeling of crossing through the sea. And if we can say it with joy, we will be forgiven for all our sins.
When it seems like we are trapped, and there is no way out, we must hope for our Shirat Hayam to happen so we can thank Hashem joyously for our personal yeshua.
