The More You Thank: Wondrous Avodah for the Soul
Saying thank you to Hashem is a wondrous avodah. The Rambam writes, the more a person thanks Hashem, the more praiseworthy he is. We should constantly be thanking Hashem daily for all that He gives us.
Thanking Hashem is a glorious endeavor. It brings us closer to Him, it makes us happier, and it brings us so many other side benefits. It is known that the Chofetz Chaim was careful his entire life to say Asher Yatzar with utmost kavana and feeling of gratitude to Hashem. He appreciated his health so much and, as a result, he lived to a ripe old age without the need of doctors or medications.
Let us take to heart all that Hashem does for us and thank Him constantly with real, heartfelt meaning.
