Hashem has given us the tools to be able to live happy lives. The Pasuksays: "עבדו את ה' בשמחה - we are told to serve Hashem with joy." A person can only serve with joy if he himself is in a state of happiness. This means we are meant to be happy, and we have the ability to always be that way.
There is nothing to worry about because every moment of our future is in the hands of Hashem. Only He will determine what will happen, and He always chooses the best possible outcome for each person's life. He knows what we need and will choose accordingly. It will not always be the outcome that we would have chosen for ourselves, but it's okay, because He knows better than us. If we could feel that we are in the hands of the most loving and compassionate Being and trust that He knows what's good for us, it will relieve so much unnecessary anxiety and that will open the door for us to be happy. Hashem's control is so clear and evident. It's harder not to believe in it than it is to believe in it.
