The Wonder of Good Deeds: Overcoming the Difficulty

The Gemara tells us if a person is experiencing troubles, he should look into his deeds and improve his ways. Our deeds determine the way Hashem governs our lives. Sometimes people do improve themselves, but things don’t seem to change in their lives. One explanation for this is that Hashem is storing up their deeds to give them even more blessing at a later time.
The Ohr Hachaim writes, sometimes when Hashem wants to give a person an immediate blessing, He’ll present that person with a mitzvah opportunity whose side benefit is the blessing that Hashem wants to bestow upon him. Everything revolves around our deeds.
Our deeds determine everything. Sometimes Hashem uses them immediately and sometimes He plants them for later use. Either way, it is always the best for us. As far as we are concerned, we should value every opportunity we have to perform a mitzvah.
