He’s Hiding: Finding the Presence in the Mishkan
Achreh Mot-Kedoshim: He’S Hiding
This week we read the parashiot Achareh Mot-Kedoshim. It the beginning of Achareh Mot it speaks about certain avodot that were done in the Mishkan to bring atonement for the people and one of the pasukim conclude with the words, “השוכן אתם בתוך טומאתם,” which the Gemara explains to mean the Hashem dwells amongst us, even when we are spiritually contaminated. Hashem loves being with us.
Hashem wants all of his children to discover Him. He will give everyone their chance to find Him while He’s hiding. When we do it, we’ll improve our lives immensely and we’ll bring so much pleasure to Hashem as well.
