Hold On Tight: Maintaining Positivity in the Dark
Hold On Tight
There are people who, lo alenu, who have been sick with illnesses that there are no known cures for. In the beginning, they were hopeful, they were in a positive frame of mind, doing everything necessary to stay as healthy as possible so they can become strong enough to be healed. But after months or years of being in the exact same position, with no improvement, with nothing really to look forward to, they have a hard time finding the will to keep going.
B’ezrat Hashem, all of the sick people should be healed. But until their cure is discovered, they should hold on tight to their most precious mitzvah of ונשמרתם מאד לנפשותיכם.
