Believing Is Seeing: Faith in Dark Times
Believing is Seeing
We see many things happening in this world that don't make sense to us. Klal Yisrael feels the pain of their hurting brothers and sisters and are desperately searching for answers as to how these things could happen. But in this world, before the coming of the Mashiach, we are not privy to understanding Hashem's ways. The Pasuk tells us: "תמים תהיה עם ה' אלוקיך - we are to accept the ways of Hashem wholeheartedly" and trust the He knows what He's doing, even when it doesn't make sense to us. This is what Emunah is all about, believing without seeing.
For now, we need to trust Hashem that He knows what He's doing, and He's always doing best. We will be rewarded heavily for this trust. And if the people who are themselves experiencing these incomprehensible Yisurin can have any amount of Emunah that Hashem is doing to them what is best for them, they will soar to the highest levels and be able to enjoy with Hashem in the high realms of Olam HaBah for all of eternity.
