Value in Service: Success in a Day of Prayer
The Gemara in Sanhedrin tells us that David HaMelech asked Hashem why, in the Amidah, we say אלוקי אברהם, אלוקי יצחק, ואלוקי יעקב. Hashem responded that it is because the Avot were tested and passed their tests. We see from here that tests make a person great in this world.
