Against the Grain: Opening Doors through Sacrifice

When someone faces a difficult test in life, their initial reaction may be one of resentment. "Why do I have to deal with this now?" they may think to themselves. It may seem as if they are simply a victim of circumstance, stuck in an unfair situation. But the correct perspective is to recognize that Hashem arranged this challenge specifically for them. Hashem is presenting them with a unique opportunity to grow and reach great heights. The test may be incredibly difficult to overcome, but we know the rule: "לפום צערא אגרא"—according to the difficulty is the reward.
Life's tests may be difficult, but they are given to us to grow and gain from.
