Hold On Tight: Positive Thinking in Incurable Illness
In the story of Purim, Haman sent out proclamations across the world, sealed with the royal signet ring, ordering everyone to rise up against the Jewish people and kill them, men, women and children. The Jews gathered together, fasted, made teshuva and cried out to Hashem. One moment they were wearing sackcloth and crying bitter tears, facing complete annihilation. And then, suddenly, the king ordered Haman to be hanged. Mordechai was appointed into his position. And in an instant, everything turned around. The Jews went from mourning to celebrating.
The salvations of Hashem are wondrous. One second it could look like a person is stuck with no way out and, a second later, Hashem opens His eyes and He finds the path. How fortunate we are to have Hashem who loves us so much and is ready and available to help us all the time. Amazing salvations take place every single day to thousands of people, we just don't hear about all of them. But when we do hear of how Hashem saves a person that seemingly was in a situation that seemed hopeless, it always gives us a lot of chizuk.
The yeshuot of Hashem are truly amazing!
