Our job in this world is to make the right decisions in the circumstances that Hashem places us in. If we do the will of Hashem, we will always be successful no matter what the results are. We are given the ability to choose to do what is right, but results are always decided by Hashem. Very often we are tested, and we must know, we never gain by choosing wrong and we always gain by choosing right whether we see it or not.
