Time as a Blessing: The Poor and the Provider
Beyond What Meets the Eye
If something tragic occurs, lo alenu, or anything that we aren’t happy with, and we find out afterward that there were so many ways that could have prevented that from happening, it makes that difficulty so much harder to deal with. Our minds tell us, if only this one would have stepped up, or if only that one would have done that, then none of this would have happened. In truth, however, there is nothing that anyone could have done to prevent what took place because whatever happens is the will of Hashem and His will can never be stopped.
Hashem and only Hashem runs the world. People have no say or influence on anything that occurs, they are just Hashem’s messengers. If someone is meant to be helped, Hashem will use a messenger to help him and if he is not meant to be helped, even the most caring and loving individual will not be able to help. Our belief in Hashem is very precious to Him. Seeing beyond what meets the eye and attributing everything to Him is a wondrous avodah!
