Goal of the Bare Minimum: Effort vs Spiritual Priority

Hashem built a world to bestow kindness upon His creations and, therefore, every time we do chesed with others, we are emulating Hashem. And just like Hashem’s chesed knows no bounds, our great Rabbis understood there is no end to the amount of chesed that we could do for others.
Whenever we do chesed for others, we are emulating Hashem. The more chesed we do, the holier we become.
