Daily Chizuk #1069
Weekly Parasha
Salvation in the Blink: An Invaluable Jewish Avoda
The Ultimate Consolation
The Belzer Rebbe went to Israel in 1946 after losing his entire family as well as all of his students in the Holocaust. The first Shabbat he was there, it was Parashat Beshalach, Shabbat Shirah. The Rebbe gave words of chizuk to all those around him. He quoted one of the sources in the Torah regarding Techiyat HaMetim, the resurrection of the dead, in that week’s parashah (Shemot 15:1): Az yashir Moshe — Then Moshe will sing. He will sing that song in the future, during the time of Techiyat HaMetim.
It will be the most glorious time! Mashiach will be king. All of the people from every generation will unite together in the Beit HaMikdash and Yerushalayim Ir HaKodesh. Hinei yamim ba’im, ne’um Hashem — Behold, those days are coming, says Hashem (Yirmiyahu 31:30). Those Who anticipate them, those who anticipate Mashiach, it says, will be the first to come back at Techiyat HaMetim, b’ezrat Hashem, b’karov. Amen!!
Shabbat Shalom!
