Teshuva Alone: Making it Like You Never Neglected

As we prepare for Rosh Hashanah, one of the main things we should be thinking about is what we are going to take upon ourselves to improve on for the upcoming year. Chazal teach us, when we make an acceptance to do a certain mitzvah, or to stay away from a certain averah, we get the credit for doing it immediately, even before we start. What a tremendous zechut that is to have entering the day of judgment. Hashem appreciates our efforts so much and sometimes He shows us very clearly.
Every person should think about what he or she needs to improve in and accept something in that area. It is not one size fits all. And as always, according to the efforts will be the rewards.
