If a shidduch is meant to be, no one is able to stop it. Not an acquaintance, not a shadchan, and not even a relative. If there are hardships in the process, we need to make a lot of hishtadlut spiritually, praying and improving ourselves and then, b’ezrat Hashem, Hashem will send the zivug that He has already prepared. Hashem can take a situation that seems to be hopeless and instantly turn it around.
