Full Effort, Full Trust: Leaving No Stone Unturned
We know everything Hashem does is good, but it is so hard to feel that way when we are met with failure or rejection. We tell ourselves it is for our best, but our emotions don’t always get that message and we feel hurt. We should not feel bad that we aren’t reacting like the greatest baal emunah of all time. It takes years of study and work to be able to immediately feel happy when things don’t go our way. But if we are learning emunah on a daily basis, for sure our reactions are becoming better and better, much better than they would have been had we not been learning emunah. We need to hear the same lessons over and over until they finally penetrate our hearts. Namely, constantly reiterating the message that what appears to be bad is in actuality our biggest blessing. We may not see it at the time, but that’s when we need to believe it. Many times we do get to see later the truth of that statement and we need to use those times to give us chizuk during the difficulties when we are still in the dark.
That devastating date seemed like the worst thing that could have happened to her, but little did she know, she needed that experience to give the information to her friend to find the right one for her. That was, b’ezrat Hashem, the last rejection she’ll ever have. At the moment, it was extremely hard for her to see the good. And the same is true for everyone’s difficulties, but the more emunah we gain, the easier this will be to achieve.
