Always There for Us: Remembering the Defeat of Bilaam

We have no idea which hishtadlut will bring us success. It’s all b’yad Hashem. And although when it comes to the performance of mitzvot, every one that we perform is an automatic success, yet we never know which of our efforts will produce long lasting results and far reaching ripple effects. And that is one of the reasons why we should always strive to do more and never underestimate the potential of a deed, no matter how small it seems.
We have no idea which of our deeds will have a long lasting effect and which of our deeds will bring the most satisfaction to Hashem. And therefore, we should utilize all the opportunities that He gives us to do more and more and never feel that we did enough.
