Emor: Don't Leave
The pasuk says in this week’s parasha Emor ומן המקדש לא יצא – which means that a Kohen gadol is not allowed to leave the Bet HaMikdash in the middle of the avodah even if, lo alenu, he became a mourner for one of his seven closest relatives. And the reason for this command was because since the Kohen was in the middle of avodat Hashem, a person is not supposed to give anyone or anything more honor than Hashem and stopping in the middle of serving Him is a dishonor to Hashem.
Everyone in his own way can work on giving more honor to HaKadosh Baruch Hu. If we put our emunah in the fact that Hashem runs the world into practice, then it makes that emunah so much more valuable.
Shabbat Shalom!
