In every generation, we are supposed to feel as if we left Mitzrayim, every single person has their own Mitzrayim that they find themselves in, whether it’s a health problem, a monetary problem, a family problem... and the list goes on. Our Rabbis want us to use the geula of Mitzrayim to give ourselves chizuk that there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. Who better than Rabbi Akiva to spend the Seder with? Someone who is able to see the light amidst the darkness now.
When things happen that seem to be bad, we can use that opportunity to soar to great heights by responding with emunah and thanking Hashem even before we see the light in it.
