Focus on the Will: Opening the Pipelines for Blessing

Seder Night Of Emunah
Tonight, families across the world will gather together to recite the Haggadah. The Targum Yerushalmi translates the word "והגדתי" in the Torah to mean "praise". When we speak about how Hashem took us out of Mitzrayim, that itself is a great praise to Him. Hashem Himself comes to listen when we speak about the miracles that He performed for us then. The Chatam Sofer writes, every home in which people speak about Yetziat Mitzrayim on the night of the seder acquires the same kedushah as a Beit HaKnesset. And this will give the home the merit of going to Israel along with all the other shuls in Chutz LaAretz when the Mashiach comes. It's brought down, there are exactly 1,820 words in the Haggadah, corresponding to the 1,820 times that Hashem's name of yud-kay-vav-kay is mentioned in the Torah. Every word of the Haggadah is kadosh, and we have to value this treasure that we have.
One of the main goals in expounding upon the Haggadah is to imbue our families with the emunah that Hashem runs the world. The Jewish people were chased out of Mitzrayim in haste. There wasn't even enough time for their dough to rise to make bread for their journey. This is an example of the way Hashem constantly brings Yeshuot. When the time comes for a person to be saved, Hashem does it כהרף עין, so quickly, in the same amount of time that it takes a person to blink his eyes. Knowing that we have Hashem should give us hope that we can be helped no matter how dismal a situation appears to be, and that the help could come in the greatest way possible.
