The Gift of Worry: Removing Anxiety through Divine Thought

When a person proves to be a righteous individual, one of the many benefits he will receive is that Hashem will use him as a vehicle to bring about more good into the world, as Chazal has taught us, migalgalim zechut al yedei zakai. There are times when Hashem will enable such a person to receive credit for a righteous act without him even knowing about it. Rashi writes in parashat Ki Tetzeh that if a person dropped money on the floor and a poor man finds it, that person will be credited for giving tzedaka. To have a poor man be the one to find the money is a zechut and Hashem will bring about that zechut if the person who dropped it is worthy of it. How fortunate a person is if he has Hashem using even his inadvertent acts to give him more mitzvot.
When someone is righteous, Hashem gives him extraordinary siyata d’Shamaya.
