Blessings from Shamayim: Guiding the Tongue to Avoid Wrong

If a person is trying to do something good but roadblocks get in his way, it’s very easy to turn the other way and take the simple road. But if the person does that, he’ll never know what he could have accomplished had he faced the challenge head on. Good things come with difficulty. All beginnings are hard. Statements like these should give us chizuk to stay the course and do our best to overcome the challenges. The difference between a person being successful or not depends on one factor: siyata d’Shayamaya – help from Hashem. Our first response to any difficulty should always be to ask Hashem for His help. That is the best and most effective solution we could possibly come up with.
Hashem could help us in all areas. Instead of running away from the issues, or becoming dejected when we don’t get what we want, we should channel our energy and emotions toward tefila and bitachon in Hashem and ask Him to help us persevere.
