Daily Chizuk #0843

The Chovot HaLevavot writes in the Shaar HaBitachon ,(chap. 3), that one of the prerequisites for someone to be called a ba’al bitachon is that he needs to put all of his faith in Hashem alone. If he is relying on Hashem and somebody else or something else, that alone can be the cause to hold back his salvation because, as the pasuk says ארור הגבר אשר יבטח באדם. However, when the person relies on Hashem alone, that becomes a cause for his salvation, as it says והיה ה' מבטחו.
Bitachon in Hashem could do wonders. It is up to us to realize who is in charge and rely only upon Him.
