Permission To Heal
Chazal tell us, expounding upon the words in the Torah "ורפא ירפא", that from there we learn a doctor was given permission by Hashem to heal. Baruch Hashem, we have many doctors who do their jobs faithfully and save numerous lives, but we must always remember, refuah comes from Hashem and the doctor is just His messenger. Therefore, part of a person’s basic hishtadlut in going to doctors is praying to Hashem that the healing will come about.
