Utilization of the Small: The Great Good of Every Deed

A Very Powerful Lesson
If a person is inconvenienced or experiences any sort of pain, one of the benefits he gets from those circumstances is that Hashem, in His infinite kindness, uses them to cleanse him from his averot. We call this kapara, where Hashem allows a person to gain atonement in this world, rather than having to experience worse in the Next. If the person accepts the inconveniences with love, they become much more valuable and give him much more atonement. If someone went out to his car and found that it was damaged by another party who left the scene, that’s an example of kapara. If someone fell and bruised himself, that is an example of kapara. Of course, Hashem has many reasons why these things happen. One of them that we know is kapara.
We don’t only get kapara when we lose money, or when we get bruised, we also get kapara for any difficulty involved in our avodat Hashem.
