Separated and Reunited: The Journey of the Soul
A Wondrous Segula
The Shomer Emunim writes that a person can merit to have a special relationship with Hashem, one in which Hashem gives him an extra measure of protection. The more one is connected to Hashem, the closer Hashem is to him. Writes the Shomer Emunim, the way to accomplish this is by believing in Hashem’s hashgacha pratit. This means, the moment something happens to a person, whether it appears to be a blessing or chas v’shalom the opposite, he recognizes that it came only from Hashem. Every part of it was carefully planned and orchestrated. It did not result from an action of another person or from a circumstance. The more a person believes that, the more connected he will be to Hashem and the more Hashem’s eye, kavayachol, will be on him.
Everything comes from Hashem, but it’s up to us to believe it. The more we attribute everything to Him, the more we will be zoche to that extra special relationship and thereby have the dinim changed to chesed.
