Seek Him While He Is Near: The Opportune Days
The Navi tells us "דרשו ה' בהימצאו, קראוהו בהיותו קרוב - seek out Hashem when He is found, call out to Him when He is near." Chazal have taught us that during these days of Aseret Yameh Teshuva, Hashem is so close to us and we need to take advantage of it.
The opportunity we have now is infinitely greater than that one and, fortunate for us, we were told about it in advance. Let us not squander it. Now is the time to put in all of our efforts into our tefilot and ma’asim tovim. If we are praying for a sick patient, or for a shidduch, or for parnasa, or for a child off the derech, now is the time that the prayers will bear the most fruit. We can fill up our wagons as much as we want.
Take advantage and b’ezrat Hashem, we should all see our requests being granted.
