No Power to Harm: Internalizing the Truth of Creation
We must internalize the words of the Chovot HaLevavot in the Shaar HaBitachon, "אין ביד הברואים להועיל או להזיק כי אם ברשות ה' יתברך – nobody has any power to affect what happens to a person without Hashem deciding it first." Whatever happened was exactly what was supposed to happen.
We should not replay in our minds situations of loved ones enduring pain and feel bad over it. The loved ones are enjoying immensely in the Upper Worlds because of that pain and suffering and they don’t want us to feel bad about it. All the ways of Hashem are mercy. We don’t have the eyes to see this here, but with our emunah, we can view life from the correct vantage point and trust always in Hashem’s control.
