Empower Your Tefilot: Desires for Our Good
Parashat Beshalach: Empower Your Tefilot
The sefer Ner Liragli explains, Hashem’s desires are only for our good. Hashem is complete; He doesn’t need anything from us. He doesn’t need our mitzvot; He doesn’t need our prayers. We are the ones who benefit from our mitzvot and tefilot. Hashem’s desire is for us to fulfill our purpose here so that He can bestow the ultimate good upon us.
If a person is able to get to that point and know that only Hashem is in charge, his tefila is a tefila with real emunah. That is when he lives emunah. That is when his prayers are the most powerful. Those tefilot Hashem desires the most because those tefilot are what help us the most. If we strengthen ourselves again and again in the fundamental principles of emunah, we will be able to empower our tefilot so much and they will be able to produce yeshuot.
Shabbat Shalom!
