Awesome Control: Overturning the Laws of Nature
Parashat Va'era: Hashem's Awesome Control
In this week’s Parasha, Va'era, we see Hashem’s awesome control over the world when He overturned all of the laws of nature and brought the plagues upon the Egyptians. The Pasuk says: “וידעתם כי אני ה' אלוקיכם המוציא אתכם מתחת סבלות מצרים”- Hashem told us that through these plagues we will know for a fact that He is our G-d.
One of the main reasons that Hashem took the Jewish people out of Egypt in such a miraculous way was to teach us once and for all that He controls the world.
