No One Loses by Listening: The Gains of Obedience
We Always Gain
Chazal teach us in the Midrash Rabbah in parashat Re’eh, “אמר הקב"ה: אין אדם שומע לי ומפסיד- Hashem tells us no one will ever lose by listening to Me.” As it says in Mishleh (chap. 1), “ושומע לי ישכון בטח-Whoever listens to Hashem will dwell in security.”
No one ever loses by staying faithful to Hashem. It may appear that way, but that’s only to test us. In the end we always gain.
