We have no idea about the calculation of Hashem, because we only see what is in front of our eyes. Hashem has the entire future in front of Him. When He’s making decisions for us, He knows what’s really best. And therefore, we shouldn’t feel like He lets us down when we don’t get what we prayed for. We should trust that He knows better what we need. This attitude will help our emunah, it’ll help us always stay close to Hashem and it’ll help us be happy with whatever happens.
