The Information You Need: Recognizing Divine Opportunities

If someone hears a certain piece of information, it’s because he was meant to hear it. If we hear of a mitzvah opportunity or about a Torah class that’s being given, we should not say, “Well, if I didn’t hear about it, I wouldn’t have gone, so just because I did doesn’t change anything.” No. Hashem arranged for us to hear about it to give us the opportunity to earn merits. What may appear to be a coincidental conversation is in actuality a purposeful encounter, orchestrated by Hashem. Very often, Hashem allows us to hear of chesed opportunities as a means to help give us what we need.
Nothing happens by accident. Everything we hear about is orchestrated by Hashem, and we are to do the best that we can to seize the opportunities that He gives us.
