Your Role: Serving Hashem in Your Circumstances
Parashat Korach: What’S My Role?
One might ask, how do I know what my role is? The answer is to serve Hashem to the best of your ability in the circumstances that He put you in.
Everybody could shine in their own way. You could have a person that nobody knows about, who’s struggling with his yetzer hara, and he overcomes his own battles just to do the will of Hashem. We have no idea how great that man is. If someone is given a position in life with a lot of responsibility, instead of feeling haughty over it, he should be worried, maybe I’m not doing enough, maybe Hashem expects more out of me because of the position He gave me. No one should ever be jealous about someone else’s job because we will only be successful if we do our own job.
May Hashem give us the strength to feel satisfied with the positions that He gives us and help us fulfill our role in the best possible way.
Shabbat Shalom!
