Cool and Calm: The Three Individuals Hashem Loves

How important is it for us to never lose our cool? The Gemara says, in Masechet Pesachim (113b) that there are three individuals that Hashem has an extra love for. The first one on the list is a person who never gets angry. Rav Chaim Vital testified that his Rabbi, the Arizal, was more careful with the sin of anger then all other averot. Because each averah causes damage to a different part of the body, but anger causes spiritual damage to the entire neshama.
Emunah will help us remain calm and cool in all situations. Being able to stay calm is a very holy endeavor.
