Pesach: The Shortcut to Spiritual Growth

Pesach is called the holiday of emunah. It is a time when a person could acquire an abundance of emunah in a very short period. All year long, we work on emunah a little at a time. We try to convince ourselves that our efforts are nothing, that everything we have- our strengths, our wisdom, our money, is all a gift from Hashem. When problems arise, we try to feel that they are really good. But these are not easy tasks to fulfill, and we have our ups and downs. On Pesach, there is a windfall of emunah for the taking. Imagine a man who works all year to try and make ends meet. One day, a business opportunity arises which stands to give him more money than he has made for the entire year. That is what we can gain in emunah on Pesach.
It’s a very special night. Let us use this glorious night to instill emunah into our families, instill emunah in ourselves, and talk about how much Hashem is involved in our lives today as well, just like He was in Mitzrayim. B’ezrat Hashem, we will become greater ba’aleh emunah.
Wishing everybody a Chag Kasher v’Sameach and Shabbat Shalom.
