Clinging to Hashem: The Power of a Simple Thank You
Thank You Hashem
The Maharal writes in his sefer Gevurat Hashem (Ch. 64), a person who thanks Hashem becomes so elevated that, kavayachol, he clings to Hashem. The Noam Elimelech adds, when a person clings to Hashem, he enters a different sphere, a place where no prosecuting angels are allowed to enter. And therefore, he writes, by thanking and praising Hashem, a person could achieve a salvation even faster than through prayer. Hashem knows how valuable it is for us to be connected to Him and how great the spiritual elevation we get from it. And therefore, at times, He will help us remember to become thanking individuals.
Thanking Hashem puts us in a different sphere. There, we’re connected to Him and, there, we can receive the biggest Yeshuot!
