Purim: A Festive Day of Divine Love

Purim Of Love
Purim is a festive day celebrating the salvation that Hashem brought for the Jewish People during the days of Mordechai and Esther, as well as the continuous salvations that Hashem brings us on a daily basis. At the time of the decree of Haman, the Jews were “מפוזר ומפורד בין העמים – scattered and not unified,” and that made them more susceptible to being harmed. When Esther heard the news of the decree, she said, “לך כנוס את כל היהודים– we need to gather together all the Jews. They need to be united as one, and then we’ll have extra help from Hashem.” And thus, Purim is also a day of unity.
Unity is our strength; unity brings about siyata dishamaya. Hashem wants us to have peace, and therefore, if a person wants to make amends with somebody else, but he’s afraid that the other party will not be responsive, he should first pray to Hashem to soften that other person’s heart. Hashem could help us, even with our relationships with people.
Let us do the mitzvot of the day the best way and bring about more peace and ahava.
HAPPY PURIM!!!
