One of the great benefits of having Emunah is that if a person is ever going through a tough time, nothing has to physically change for that person to be happy. It is the way he views what he is going through that makes all the difference. Of course we always hope and pray for salvations, but our happiness does not have to depend on those salvations.
Everything Hashem gives us is for our benefit. If we can remember that, we'll always be happy
