Honesty: The Best Segula for Wealth
Someone with Emunah knows he doesn't have to cheat to make money, but rather just the opposite is true - being honest is the best segula for wealth.
The pasuk says: "ברכת ה' היא תעשיר- the blessing from Hashem is what really makes a person wealthy." We should be doing our best to impress Hashem, because He is the only One who counts. The desire for money is very strong. That is why the Gemara says: "אדם ניכר בכיסו - a person is recognized my how he deals with monetary issues." If he is honest and straight, people will recognize it and, more importantly, Hashem will recognize it. The pasuk says: "והבוטח בה' חסד יסובבנו - The one who trusts in Hashem will be surrounded by kindness. Those who deal honestly, relying on Hashem for parnasa, will bring kindness upon themselves.
It is so admirable when a person is careful to be honest. It's a midda that is very precious to Hashem. The more Emunah we have in Him, the easier it will be to keep our integrity in all situations.
