Life is not always easy. This is the world of toil. We are here to do as much as we can with the time that Hashem gives us. If someone is experiencing pain or difficulties and they are trying every which way to get out of them, of course they should continue hoping and praying to Hashem for salvation. But before the salvation comes, they have the opportunity to achieve one of the greatest accomplishments available to us - accepting the will of Hashem with love. It is such a precious avodah and can be done again and again. Each time we feel that we can't go on, we can strengthen ourselves and say, "This is the will of Hashem; I will accept it.
If people would truly know Who is behind their pain and difficulties, they'll be able to handle it, no matter what's happening. And if they are able to accept it with love, they'll reach the highest levels.
