Open Your Eyes to Find What's Lost
Open Our Eyes
It's brought down that when a person is searching for a lost object he should say: "אמר רבי בנימין, הכל בחזקת סומין עד שבא הקב"ה ומאיר את עינהם-Everything is considered out of our sight until Hashem opens our eyes to see it"(It is not just a Segula, it's a declaration of Emunah that we can't see anything without Hasem).
*Hashem is in charge of our minds as well. Hashem decides who we recognize and who we don't recognize. Hashem decides what we find and what we don't find. Hashem decides which thought He allows to pass through our brains and which he doesn't. Therefore, when we are trying to find something or someone, our first inclination should be to ask Hashem to open our eyes. And when we have a meeting with people and we want to make sure to say the right words, we should first ask Hashem, "Please, give me the right words to say."
