Sometimes a person is going through a difficult time, and the reason is because Hashem, in His infinite wisdom, determined that this is what is best for him and necessary to make him into the person he needs to become. When the time is right, Hashem is going to save that person from his difficulty, but before that happens, Hashem is still going to help him get through it, until He helps him get out of it.
Sometimes we have to go through ongoing difficult issues, but when we're able to see Hashem's involvement, that's Hashem helping us until He helps us.
