When the Temple Is Gone: The Power of Prayer

Our First and Last Option
Chazal tell us in the Midrash Tehilim, that although nowadays we don't have the Bet Hamikdash, Kohanim, or Nevi'im, we still have the prayers of Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur, which can accomplish so much for us. We need to take advantage of this opportunity in the coming days. What steps can we take to add power to our Tefilot?
Hashem is our first option; Hashem is our last option, and there is nowhere else to turn besides Hashem. Of course we must do our regular Hishtadlut and try through the natural way of the world to obtain our needs.
The more we recognize how much we need Hashem and how insignificant everyone else is in comparison, the more אמת-sincere our Tefilot will be, and the more power they will have.
