Honor Your Parents, Receive Eternal Blessings

If You Honor Your Parents
Hashem told us in the Torah that when we follow the Mitzvot, we receive goodness, blessing, success and life. We cannot fathom the value of even one Mitzva. Of course we know the main rewards for Mitzvot are reserved for the World to Come, but they pay us dividends in this world as well. We search high and low for ways to achieve success in life, but we don't have to look any further than the Torah itself. Following Hashem is the best recipe for success.
Every phone call a child makes to his parent to say hello, every visit, every act of honor is a positive commandment from the Torah. When a parent enters a room, the children are supposed to stand up for them, unless the parent prefers otherwise.
Kibud Av v'Em can be done even after the parents move on to Gan Eden. When a child acts the way Hashem wants him to and does Mitzvot, it elevates his parents and brings them so much joy in Gan Eden. Every single act the child does helps his parents there. He can give Tzedaka, do extra Mitzvot L'ilui Nishmatam. Each one of them is like sending his parents the greatest gift.
The Mitzvot are our treasures. They are the means through which Hashem bestows his goodness upon us. If we follow the Torah the right way, we'll be blessed in this world and the Next.
