Teshuva
Singing His Praises: Our Job to Recognize Involvement
The Chovot Levavot writes in the Shaar HaTeshuva, teshuva is so great, even if we were negligent in fulfilling our responsibilities towards Hashem, teshuva alone can make it like we did. Which means, not only does teshuva erase the negative, it can also fill in the positive.
This is a golden opportunity. But in order to accomplish it, we have to actually sit down alone in a room and admit our guilt, feel bad and accept to improve going forward. This is how we could take advantage of this wondrous gift called teshuva.
