Our Best Effort: Why Parnasa Difficulties Elevate Torah

Many things can happen over the course of a day which threaten to disturb a person’s peace of mind. The Chovot HaLevavot writes that the essence of bitachon is the tranquility that the bote’ach b’Hashem feels knowing that Hashem is always doing what is best for him. What may appear to us to be a haphazard occurrence which may have ruined our plans was in actuality sent directly by Hashem for our benefit. The more bitachon we have, the more tranquility we will have during those times that threaten to disturb us. If someone is not equipped with the proper tools to handle disturbances or glitches, it could ruin what was supposed to be from the happiest times in his life.
Keeping our tranquility and peace of mind can do wonders for us, if we realize everything that happens is set up by Hashem, it will make that much easier to do.
