Weekly Parasha

Glorifying the Name: Praising Hashem when Denied

Parashat Shemot: Worth The Effort
If a person is going through a very trying time and is in a lot of stress over it, if he could channel all of his emotions and tears towards heartfelt tefila, that prayer would accomplish so much. The pasuk in this week’s parasha Shemot says ותעל שועתם אל האלוקים מן העבודה -the Jewish people’s prayers which resulted from the distress which they were experiencing during the slavery in Mitzrayim went up to Hashem, and they were the catalysts of their eventual geula.
We must continue praying and if we feel like it’s not working, we have to continue giving ourselves chizuk and pray more. Chaim Chai Gad ben Mazal currently has a different sickness and we pray for his refuah shelemah. May Hashem answer all of our tefilot b’ratzon.
Shabbat Shalom!
