The days of Chanukah were established as days of thanks and praise, and therefore it is not surprising that they are also days of miracles. Thanking Hashem removes any barriers that are between us and Him. When we are standing right in front of Hashem, it is much easier to bring about yeshuot. If a person feels that the gates of blessing have been locked for him and nothing he does has success, he should work on thinking about all the kindnesses that Hashem has done for him and is continuing to do for him and thank Hashem for each one of them individually, with true feelings of gratitude. That alone can unlock the blessing. Miracles have taken place as a direct result of people’s heartfelt gratitude.
